Description
Thunor 16kWh LiFePo4 low voltage battery bank
The high quality Thunor battery bank, produced in Estonia, allows you to store your own electricity or electricity from the grid, optimise your energy costs and ensure energy backup in case of crisis or power cuts. Thunor batteries are equipped with heating mats to preheat the battery cells to the correct operating temperature in adverse temperature conditions. The product housing is made of durable steel, which protects the battery elements from the ambient conditions. The product is guaranteed for 10 years/8000 charging cycles.
Quality guarantees longevity
Only documented Class A defect-free LiFePo4 battery cells (Certified Automotive Grade). Special cell pressurisation technology is used in production to avoid possible cell swelling. The housing of the unit is made of durable steel, which protects the battery elements from the ambient conditions. Built-in heating mats which, if necessary, preheat the battery elements to the correct operating temperature.
Safety
LiFePo4 is not sensitive to temperature changes. This ensures better thermal and chemical stability of battery elements, significantly reducing the risk of fire due to overcharging and short-circuiting. The Thunor battery operates at low voltage, i.e. 48V (high voltage batteries 300-800V). Due to the low voltage, the risk of electric shock and fire is very low. This is why low-voltage batteries are very well suited for domestic use. Each Tunor battery has its own BMS (Battery Management System, which actively monitors battery elements). The BMS is used to monitor current, voltage and temperature and to protect the unit against overcharging, over-discharging, overcurrent, extreme temperatures and short circuits. During charging, the BMS balances the battery elements and protects the instrument against overcurrent to ensure safe and optimal operation. Short-circuit protection is built-in. Thunor batteries have passed all the required safety tests and hold the relevant certificates.
Scalable storage solutions
Up to 16 Tunor batteries can be added to a single system via a parallel connection, giving a maximum storage capacity of 256kWh. This covers most standard solutions for households, housing associations and smaller businesses (15-120kWh).
